Seuss Soothing Words To Remember Long Forgotten Tales

For those who read Doctor Seuss books or for those who are bout you a few of the authors most dearly remembered quotes and phrases are just the thing to sooth your heart and take you back to when your imagination and dreams had no limits and reality was just an alternative for grownups.

Words which we now use unknowingly and which tend to describe our feeling better than we ever could are attributed to this wonderful storyteller. As such I’m sure you heard it at least once: “don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened!”. Inspired from the ancient Chinese saga, good experience or bad experience it is still experience and there is something to learn from everything that happens to you.

Another beautiful quote which I think you’ve also heard in some more recent movies is “I meant what I said, and I said what I meant. An elephant’s faithful, one hundred percent”. And this is not only a praise to honesty but an advice to always being true to yourself. Speaking your mind is always better than holding your sorrows inside, just do it carefully as not to offend or hurt others.

At a lack for words, almost no one succeeded to describe love though many have tried and still do. So did Dr Seuss when he said that “You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than in your dreams”. And that is just how it feels.

Only a brilliant mind like his could have said it so well in the attempt to describe his endless imagination: “I like nonsense. It wakes up the brain cells”. All kids will see nonsense as a part of the normal because they are not limited by the real world and the daily worries for food and money. His great talent was only substantiated by his remaining a child at heart until his last day.

Among his latest work there’s a children’s book which teaches you about life and all the changes that you will go through and send out the most heartfelt fatherly encouragement to all the brave little humans out there: “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go...“

For all the kids out there who’s greatest joy is to grow up and the day they treasure the most is their birthday, in “Happy Birthday to You!”, Dr Seuss activities send out this introspective message as to underline the uniqueness of each individual: “Today you are You, that is truer that true. There is no one alive who is You-er than You”.
